La PS4 sortira le 22 février 2014 au Japon

Incroyable, tout de même, et révélateur de l'importance sans cesse décroissante du marché nippon du jeu vidéo.
Cela fait de nombreuses années déjà que l'archipel se retrouve servi en dernier, mais jamais encore le délai d'attente n'avait été aussi important! Pour rappel, la PS4 est attendue en Occident pour le mois de novembre 2013.

Sony, pourtant constructeur japonais, a donc pris la décision d'affecter la totalité de ses stocks de consoles aux seuls marchés américains et européens.
Il faut dire qu'au Pays du Soleil Levant, la partie est déjà gagnée avant même d'être entamée, Microsoft n'étant jamais parvenu à exister sur ce marché, et la Wii U de Nintendo faisant de la figuration dans les charts. La PS4 ne pourra néanmoins pas rivaliser avec la 3DS, console star au Japon, mais les deux marchés, salon et portable, sont plus complémentaires que rivaux.

On s'en doutait, la nouvelle a été très mal accueillie au Japon selon Kotaku.
Le site publie des commentaires d'internautes nippons, apparus dans la foulée de la conférence Sony ayant révélé cette date de sortie si lointaine là-bas :

La presse nippone, ainsi que les réseaux sociaux ne sont pas tendres aujourd'hui envers Sony et sa toute dernière déclaration.
En effet, le géniteur de la PS4 vient d'annoncer que la console serait disponible pour l'ensemble de l'Asie dès décembre 2013! Toute l'Asie... à l'exception du Japon.
